Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, LDP).
• Shift schedule includes weekend and holiday work.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for LAN, WAN, intranet, Internet, and other data networks.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Review upgrade/addition requests and advise on practical technical approaches to meet requirements.
• Apply IT skills to analysis, development, integration, and acquisition of open systems for information management.
• Ensure systems/applications comply with open system standards and reference models.
• Evaluate and recommend COTS applications to provide interoperable, portable, scalable IT solutions.
• Perform analysis/validation of reusable software/hardware components for IM designs.
