Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for the TAC2O program to provide managed IT support for high-priority defense intelligence needs. The role requires on-site presence at Reston, VA, with a minimum of 5 days per week at the customer site.

The incumbent will design, engineer, and implement LAN/WAN networks, configure firewalls, and prepare comprehensive network documentation while ensuring security, reliability, and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Firewalls.
• Current networking certifications.
• Understand the operation of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with six years of relevant experience; four additional years may substitute for the degree.
• Must be 8140 compliant by security indoctrination date and maintain CE as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform network design and engineering support for the TAC2O Program IT architecture.
• Build and maintain LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, and site-to-site connections.
• Prepare documentation from requirements to system construction.
• Evaluate and propose new network systems and upgrades to improve reliability and cost savings.
• Maintain technical manuals and SOPs.
