AT&T is seeking a skilled Tier 3 Network Engineer to support the 24x7 Network Operations Center in McLean, Virginia. This role involves providing advanced troubleshooting and support for network services, with a minimum presence of 5 days a week on-site.

Qualifications

• Provide Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, Intranet, and Internet.
• Monitor network availability and perform necessary maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain network hardware and software.
• Proactively identify risks in the network and develop mitigation plans.
• Support various telecommunications business requirements.

Skills

Advanced networking qualifications including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, LAMBDA

Utilization of common ticket systems (Remedy, ServiceNow)

Hands-on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems

Strong understanding of the OSI model and routing protocols

Network certifications (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, etc.)

Education

High School degree with 12 years of work history

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of work history

Masters with 6 years of work history

PhD with 4 years of work history
