Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking an IT Technician to join Publix Technology in Alabama. You will perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of IT hardware across store locations and support on-site store operations.

Travel between Publix locations is required; shifts include nights and weekends as needed. A 1+ year PC/Technical support background and an associate degree in information technology are preferred to help maintain printers, POS, servers, and networking gear.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of PC/Technical support experience.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware and industry standards.
• Basic understanding of Windows Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of IT hardware including: desktop computers, servers, laser and thermal printers, point of sale systems, barcode scanners, weighing devices, networking systems.
• Support Publix retail stores through on-site visits.
• Travel between store locations to perform technical tasks.
