Job summary

Grainger is hiring a full-time On-Site Service Representative to support customer locations in the Auburn Hills, Troy, and Lake Orion, MI area. The OSR will manage customer inventories, provide outstanding service, and collaborate with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings and meet MRO needs.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in selling or service, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 25–60 lbs, with a valid driver's license and insurance.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in selling or service environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs and/or work in difficult positions.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a valid driver's license in state of residence and required automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations.
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations and ensure stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
• Follow designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time.
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is being provided.
• Help create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs.
• Probes for customer needs during each site visit and works with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.
