Job summary

Packsize seeks a Resident Service Engineer to install, maintain and support equipment on-site at a key customer in the New Jersey area. You will manage parts inventory, build customer relationships, and ensure 5-Star service through proactive visits and timely communication.

Role requires travel within the assigned geography, collaboration with R&D, Software and Quality teams, and hands-on maintenance and installation responsibilities. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts and inventory management.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and tools.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Windows platforms.
• Advanced mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn troubleshooting procedures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, climb, stand, and carry materials.
• Must climb ladders.
• Strong independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Software, and Quality Engineering teams.
• Receive and verify incoming parts and supplies.
• Document and record parts transactions accurately.
• Maintain stock levels and inventory records.
• Analyze customer KPIs to identify machine issues and perform maintenance.
• Complete and pass training courses.
• Develop knowledge of packaging designs.
• Build customer support and technical skills for maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and accessories.
• Install new equipment and train customer personnel.
• Handle basic administration duties (emails, assigned tasks).
• Adhere to safety protocols around moving parts/electricity.
• Communicate worksite status effectively to customers and supervision.
