Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, and start up security and building automation systems, including training customers. You will work as part of a dynamic team, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery, while mentoring junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong technical skills and experience with building automation, fire alarm & life safety, or electronic security systems.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude; able to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service systems and equipment across security, fire, and building automation projects.
• Read complex blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
• Operate and commission systems, analyze performance, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Provide customer training and act as the key interface for technical support.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors.
• Ensure work complies with regulations and safety policies.
