Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Safety Manager I for a Taylor, TX project. Lead site safety programs, implement EHS procedures, and ensure a safe, compliant work environment on our heavy highway project.

The role emphasizes field presence, incident analysis, and safety training, with collaboration across project staff, trade partners, and owners. English and Spanish bilinguals are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing construction safety and health processes.
• OSHA 30 hour with experience in training and excavation trenching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to work outdoors at times in varying weather conditions.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Safety & Health Program on the project.
• Communicate with clients, management, supervisors, employees, and trade partners.
• Attend preconstruction meetings and review safety submittals.
• Build relationships with project staff and trade partners.
• Create and maintain incident reports and investigation documents.
• Provide safety training aligned with project scopes and work types.
• Summarize safety incidents via bulletins and presentations.
• Conduct monthly safety data analysis to identify trends and communicate findings.
