Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Safety Manager to support the Safety Director by implementing site safety reviews and ensuring a healthy, accident-free work environment. You will oversee safety systems, training, and compliance across field and office personnel.

The role requires 5+ years in construction safety on heavy civil projects, with preferred CHST/CSHO/ASP/CSP, OSHA 500, and bilingual Spanish skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience on heavy civil projects.
• CHST, CSHO or ASP, CSP certification preferred.
• OSHA 500 preferred.
• CMAR and preconstruction experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Examine project settings for hazards and processes and recommend controls.
• Develop and review project JHA and safety execution plans.
• Develop safety training programs and ensure proper records.
• Lead incident investigations and report findings.
• Coordinate and lead project site safety meetings and daily assessments.
• Liaison to owner representative and manage safety communications.
