Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a Taylor, Texas project. The role focuses on leading the site safety program, implementing the EHS framework, and coordinating with clients and trade partners to maintain a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction safety leadership, CSP certification, OSHA 500 trainer status, and strong reporting, training, and incident investigation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or progress toward degree.
• CSP/ASP/GSP/CHST/OHST or equivalent credential.
• OSHA 500 trainer certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• CMAR and preconstruction experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Safety & Health Program on site, including the EHS management system and apply program principles.
• Communicate effectively with clients, management, supervisors, employees, and trade partners.
• Attend preconstruction meetings and review safety submittals from trade partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with project staff, trade partner safety representatives, and vendors.
• Create and maintain accurate safety incident reports and investigation documents.
• Provide and participate in staff safety training sessions aligned with project scopes.
• Represent the company professionally with owners and trade partners.
• Summarize safety incidents through bulletins, updates, and site safety plans.
• Manage safety incidents according to the severity matrix.
• Conduct monthly safety data analysis and share trends with project staff.
• Participate in crane and hoist safety activities as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
