Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in San Antonio, TX seeks a Safety Representative to support the Safety Director by reviewing job-site safety and ensuring a healthy, accident-free work environment.

The role develops training, conducts incidents investigations, maintains records, and partners with field personnel and management to implement safety programs. Requires 2–5 years in construction safety and OSHA 500; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or related field preferred.
• OSHA 500 certification required or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience as a safety representative in construction or related industries.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety review of job sites and ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
• Develop and conduct safety training and programs for staff and field personnel.
• Attend project site safety meetings and perform daily site safety walks.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare timely safety reports.
• Provide safety recommendations and ensure compliance with regulations.
