Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Reading Program Coordinator to drive literacy outcomes at a California campus. You will coach K–3 students through app-based core learning, diagnose gaps, and lead daily routines from launch to closing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and structured-literacy training, with relocation support offered for onsite work. You will conduct short, structured-literacy sessions for small groups, track progress, and advance weekly app goals using gamification.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus with relocation support
• 3+ years working directly with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings
• 2+ years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS) or a master’s in reading/literacy
• Bachelor’s degree; teaching certificate not required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coach K-3 students through app-based core learning and close the gaps
• Run short structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students with running records and fluency checks
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, and campus routines
• Drive students to weekly app goals using school currency and gamification
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan
