Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Youth Development Coach to work on-site at campuses nationwide. The role focuses on guiding K-3 students through app-based literacy, diagnosing gaps, and delivering short, structured sessions.

You will remain with students through the day, supporting daily goals and using school currency and gamification to motivate progress. The position requires on-site work with relocation support, a relevant structured-literacy background, and a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not required.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a Master’s in reading or literacy.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in K-3 within last 5 years.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning, guiding progress to daily goals.
• Lead short, structured-literacy sessions with small groups and check transfer of learning.
• Drive weekly app goals using gamification and school currency.
• Stay with students through meals and routines, addressing frustration with a plan.
• Record and monitor progress; participate in campus-wide launch and workshops.
