Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a General Manager to lead the on-site operation of a property, coordinating with departments and the Board to meet company objectives. You will supervise staff, ensure contractual obligations, and drive timely project completions while managing budgets.

The role requires CAM certification in Florida, a bachelor’s degree, and a track record in operations or construction. Excellent communication and leadership are essential, with occasional travel for training

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property operations, hospitality, or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Must be Certified and Licensed by the State of Florida for Community Association Management (CAM).
• Strong problem solving, judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windows.
• Excellent organization, leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes and community documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and leadership to assigned property and book of business.
• Manage the functions of a team within a property while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods, and personnel.
• Act as liaison to ensure quality service is delivered and Board expectations are met.
• Ensure contractual obligations between the association and FirstService Residential are met.
• Initiate contact with new residents and conduct site inspections.
• Oversee construction projects and property maintenance within budget and schedule.
• Maintain information in the portal (work orders, meeting minutes, reports).
• Interview, hire, train and schedule staff; ensure coverage and resolve issues.
