Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a skilled Community Manager to oversee daily operations of a housing community, reporting to the Regional Manager. You will supervise on-site staff, manage leasing, maintenance, finances, and risk, while ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, marketing, resident relations, and emergency management to optimize NOI and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of community operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management.
• Supervise staff to ensure effective training, coaching, and productivity in line with company directives.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor deposits, rent collections, and charges.
• Drive leasing performance through strategic marketing and resident retention programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines and manage risk and safety procedures.
• Address resident complaints and ensure high levels of resident satisfaction.
• Head emergency response for the property and coordinate with staff and HR as needed.
• Maintain property appearance, conduct regular inspections, and manage vendor relationships.
