Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all operations of a housing community under the Regional Manager. On-site leader responsible for staff, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

You will supervise staff, develop budgets, monitor rent collections, coordinate marketing plans, and manage resident relations to maximize NOI while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; ensure effectiveness through ongoing training and guidance.
• Prepare weekly/daily office and maintenance staff schedules and assignments.
• Address performance problems; document, communicate with supervisor and HR, and terminate when necessary.
• Promote harmony and quality job performance; lead staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor financials.
• Oversee rent collections, deposits, and reporting; ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor vendor invoices and property closeout; produce accurate financial reports.
• Lead strategic leasing management; develop marketing plans and implement leasing strategies.
• Handle resident complaints; implement retention programs; show, lease, and move-in residents.
• Ensure all leasing reporting is accurate and timely; supervise emergency response and maintenance operations.
• Maintain property appearance; conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs.
