Job summary

Halverson and Blaiser Group, Ltd. is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to support the Community Manager in preserving asset value and delivering responsive resident service.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, and ensure safety in common areas. The role requires strong hands-on repair skills, ability to manage records, and flexibility for evenings/weekends on a rotating on-call basis.

Qualifications

• Education: Reading and computational literacy at high school level or above.
• Experience: Building maintenance or related trades incl. repairs, carpentry, plumbing, painting, heating maintenance.
• Licensure: Valid Minnesota driver’s license, Class C boiler license, insurance.
• Other: Ability to interact with residents and contractors; flexible and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs from resident requests promptly and satisfactorily.
• Carry out preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Inspect plumbing, heating, electrical systems; maintain boiler rooms.
• Keep records; complete work orders and logs.
• Assist with inspections, move-ins/outs, and on-site contractor work.
