Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain the property's physical integrity, ensure cleanliness, safety, and functional common areas, and respond to resident service requests with urgency.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs, prepare vacant units, oversee vendor work, manage tools and inventory, and uphold OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license for vehicle operation if applicable.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and track repairs using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs across the property for safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections and punch lists.
• Maintain clean and functional amenity areas and common spaces; perform cleaning and minor painting.
• Manage maintenance tools, materials, inventory, and reorders.
• Support safety policies; attend OSHA training and report incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors/contractors for quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
