Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform and oversee building maintenance across 428 units in Los Angeles. Responsibilities include handling resident work orders, completing make-ready tasks for new move-ins, and maintaining safety and quality standards across grounds and interiors.

The role requires EPA certifications (Type I/II or Universal) if HVAC work is involved, a valid driver's license, and ability to navigate field tasks in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Process work orders from residents and diagnose defects to perform repairs.
• Oversee and complete make-ready for vacant units and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Develop cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and interiors.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors; ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Assist with budgeting for repairs and capital projects; support cost-control goals.
• Participate in safety meetings; maintain MSDS and OSHA compliance.
