Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, making-ready units, inventory control, and documentation.

Requires 1-2 years of maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Maintenance experience.
• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Makes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by completing inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify for re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation for service requests to be tracked.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods and work in all weather conditions; may travel to other properties.
• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance to ensure property is safe and clean.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing by inspecting and addressing defects, and coordinating touch-up work.
• Access materials and equipment through the maintenance dept., track inventory, and reorder as needed.
• Document service requests clearly and timely for records and billing.
• Support grounds and common areas maintenance, and assist with safety meetings and inspections.
• Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in various weather and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
