Job summary

Greystar is seeking a property maintenance technician in Los Angeles to perform repairs and preventative maintenance across the community. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and ensure property standards for safety, cleanliness, and appearance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of maintenance experience, with HVAC certifications preferred. You may need to lift 50+ pounds and travel locally as needed. A valid driver’s license is often required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience/training.
• 3+ years of property maintenance or related trade experience.
• HVAC certifications and licenses may be required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in a resident-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues from resident work orders and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacants for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory, request materials, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain records for audits.
• Assist in grounds upkeep, safety compliance, and general property cleaning.
