Job summary

The POS Field Service Technician at TRUNO is responsible for timely response to service requests at customer sites within the assigned territory, performing troubleshooting, repair and testing, and ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.

You will interact with store personnel, provide after-hours support when needed, travel within a 150-mile radius, perform preventive maintenance on POS hardware and related equipment, and maintain confidentiality and professional conduct while

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Min 1 year of technology service experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office required.
• Electronics/tech hardware experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely and keep customer updated with complete documentation.
• Interact with store personnel and TRUNO team in a positive, clear manner.
• Maintain regular hours and after-hours availability when needed.
• Travel within a 150-mile radius, limited overnight travel.
• Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and test in-store equipment to verify functionality.
• Use basic power tools and test equipment as part of daily duties.
• Provide preventive maintenance on POS equipment and related hardware.
• Configure software/hardware and perform installs/upgrades as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and deadlines.
• Manage company vehicle, credit card, fuel, and tools responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment sold and supported in territory.
