Zusammenfassung

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician/Phlebotomist to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting. You will interact with clients and patients professionally, collect venipuncture samples, manage data entry, and ensure accurate processing of specimens.

The role requires adherence to lab procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to handle fluctuating patient flow in a busy environment. On-site work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Greets customers appropriately. Treat all customers in a courteous manner.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly and calmly.
• Disposes of blood or other biohazard fluids or tissue according to laws and policies.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer with high accuracy.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and handles labeling, centrifugation, and freezing as required.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity during handling and transport.
