The role requires strong data entry, insurance verification, and collaboration with scheduling and care teams to secure authorizations and collect liabilities, while maintaining detailed records and supporting staff in a fast-paced academic medical setting.

Responsabilidades

• Obtains, confirms, and enters demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance.
• Contacts patients' families or physicians to obtain missing insurance information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and notifies upon any issues.
• Collaborates with scheduling to identify add-on patients.
• Obtains authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
• Notifies patients of liabilities and collects payments.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation in the system.
• Leads junior Patient Services staff and supports process improvements.
