Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts.
• Contact patients or physicians offices to obtain missing insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify relevant parties of issues.
• Collaborate with scheduling to identify add-on patients.
• Obtain authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
• Notify patients of liabilities and collect funds as applicable.
• Maintain records and documentation in the system of record.
• Serve as a lead resource for junior Patient Services staff.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance performance and productivity.
• Respond to technical inquiries via phone, email, or web messages with critical thinking.
• Work independently under stress in a high-volume environment.
• Model compassionate patient interactions and teamwork.
