Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while representing IPG in the field.

Responsibilities include PM program execution, on-site installation, and collaboration with customer maintenance teams.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required; technical field degree preferred.
Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems at customer sites.
Basic mechanical skills to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components.
Experience in packaging automation systems preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and travel ~30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using testing tools and documentation.
Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
Establish, schedule, and execute PM programs for end-user accounts to improve reliability.
Document service actions and maintain accurate service records.
Support senior technicians on complex field service jobs and installations.
