Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-quality field service with strong customer communication.

You should have hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, be able to work independently, and travel up to 30% of the week. IPG emphasizes safety, integrity, and teamwork in a fast-paced field role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical Associate preferred.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Develop expert knowledge of products and provide service recommendations during site visits.
• Establish and execute Preventive Maintenance programs to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Assist with field testing and feedback for product improvements.
• Follow field service procedures, complete work orders, and maintain service records.
• Perform software upgrades and support senior technicians on complex jobs.
