Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will help ensure equipment uptime and deliver high‑level technical service directly in the field.

This role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while traveling up to 30% of the work week. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems; able to diagnose faults on customer sites.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components safely.
• Experience in packaging automation systems preferred.
• Proficient with PC applications for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• On-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Ensure equipment uptime and support customer production needs with strong field service.
• Travel up to 30% of the work week; lift up to 60 lbs; maintain accurate service records.
