Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the appointment schedule to ensure an efficient and high-quality patient experience from start to finish.

The role involves performing preliminary patient evaluations, documenting findings in EHR, and coordinating with specialists as needed. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA or CPOT preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topical medications, etc.).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment options.
• May perform diagnostic testing using OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera, etc.
