Job summary

AEG Vision in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks an Optician to provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories, ensuring proper fit, accurate measurements, and correct dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, manage order status, and collaborate with technicians and clinicians to deliver a quality patient experience. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA recommended.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE systems.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status.
• Provide eyewear adjustments and repairs as needed.
