Job summary

AEG in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care, supporting our mission to provide outstanding experiences. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, tints and coatings, interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, and collaborate with technicians and doctors to ensure proper fit, comfort, and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an extraordinary patient experience with complete explanations of product recommendations.
• Assist patients in frame, lens type, and lens treatments based on lifestyle and measurements.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter all patient information into the EHR/ALE system.
• Maintain knowledge of product issues and answer questions regarding insurance and pricing.
• Ensure proper eyewear fit and comfort through adjustments and repairs.
