Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You’ll guide patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments, ensure precise measurements, and support insurance and warranty explanations. The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, strong customer service, and ongoing product knowledge to drive patient satisfaction and loyalty.

The position is full-time, on-site in a patient-focused practice with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one-year optician experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational and detailed documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories fitting prescription and lifestyle.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE systems with complete documentation.
• Explain insurance benefits, pricing, and warranty options to patients.
• Provide eyewear adjustments, repairs, and frame care guidance.
• Maintain product knowledge on lenses, coatings, and rebates.
