Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care on-site. You will help patients choose frames, lenses, and treatments while ensuring accurate measurements and proper dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, explain insurance coverage, and maintain strong relationships with patients and technicians to ensure satisfaction and repeat visits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experience with eyewear solutions and service.
• Assist patients in frame and lens selection based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, lenses and frames.
• Communicate order status and resolve issues with patients and team.
• Educate patients on care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
• Interpret prescriptions and document in EHR/ALE systems.
• Ensure proper fit, measurements and lens dispensing.
• Assist with order follow-up and patient satisfaction.
