Job summary

Knightscope, Inc. seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to own inventory accuracy across Downey, CA facilities. You will manage receipts, storage, transactions in NetSuite, and lock in cycles with the Sunnyvale KHQ team to keep WO processes aligned.

This on-site role also supports Downey production as needed. You will maintain precise records, optimize locations, perform cycle counts, and safeguard inventory integrity while collaborating with manufacturing and procurement to prevent shortages

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or materials management experience.
• Hands-on ERP experience; NetSuite preferred.
• Knowledge of receiving, cycle counting, physical inventory, and work order processes.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to read and interpret part numbers, BOMs, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate with remote teams at KHQ.
• Willingness to support production tasks including basic assembly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate a pallet jack; forklift certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage inventory across Knightscope's Downey, CA facilities, using NetSuite as the system of record.
• Receive, inspect, label, and put away incoming materials, and process all receipts, transfers, and adjustments in NetSuite accurately and on time.
• Maintain organized storage and bin locations so every item has a defined location that matches system records.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and support month-end physical inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Partner with the KHQ team in Sunnyvale to reconcile Downey counts, coordinate inter-site transfers, and keep inventory records accurate across locations.
• Ensure WO processes are followed, including kitting, issuing materials to WOs, and closing WOs in NetSuite.
• Monitor stock levels, flag shortages and reorder needs to KHQ procurement, and support material availability for production schedules.
• Manage inventory, non-inventory, and serialized items in line with Knightscope's part classification standards.
• Maintain inventory documentation, reports, and audit trails, and recommend improvements to inventory processes and controls.
• Serve as a flex resource for Downey production, supporting assembly, kitting, and other production tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, and help keep the warehouse and production areas clean and organized.
