Job summary

Housing Trust Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance at multifamily communities. This hands-on supervisor role combines repairs with directing onsite staff, scheduling and vendor coordination, and ensuring safety and readiness of apartment homes.

The position reports to the Property Manager and collaborates with Regional Maintenance Supervisor on priorities, resident services, and budgets. Strong customer service and proactive safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of multifamily maintenance leadership experience or comparable building maintenance experience.
• Experience supervising, training, and scheduling maintenance staff.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and appliance repair, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, drywall, flooring, carpentry, locks, pools or spas, roofs, and life safety equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, and resident service skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, safety procedures, work scopes, and applicable requirements and to perform basic job related calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi Voyager and Yardi Maintenance experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily maintenance work in coordination with the Property Manager and priorities.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and provide performance feedback to Maintenance Technicians, Groundskeepers and other staff.
• Assign, monitor and complete work orders, inspections, repairs, and property upkeep; assist the team when needed.
• Coordinate vendor schedules and verify safety, timeliness, and quality of work.
• Communicate staffing, service, and property concerns to management as they arise.
• Maintain after-hours emergency maintenance schedules and respond within required timeframes.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, locks, and other building components.
• Lead vacant unit turnover including inspections, scope of work, and readiness for occupancy.
• Provide professional customer service to residents and communicate maintenance access and status.
