Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at a multifamily community. You will oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, make-ready turnover, and vendor coordination to uphold safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.

You will diagnose issues in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry, manage inventory, and ensure prompt response to resident requests. Strong leadership and customer-service focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance including turnover/make-ready processes.
• At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
• Expertise in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• EPA Universal or HVAC certification based upon property requirements.
• Proficiency in diagnosing maintenance issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; property management software and maintenance ticketing system experience is a must.
• Customer-service orientation with professional resident interactions.
• Available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and guide the maintenance team to complete tasks effectively and on time.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general property maintenance.
• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders per standards and timelines.
• Oversee make-ready processes with pre-move-out inspections and vendor coordination.
• Ensure common areas, exteriors, and grounds are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
• Schedule and supervise in-house and third‑party contractor work.
• Perform and document monthly preventative maintenance per policies.
