Job summary

Cox Fleet in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a range of trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and document findings on Repair Orders via our TRAIT app.

The role requires a valid DOT-related background, ASE T8 within 18 months, and 3 years of related experience or 5 years alternative. Company benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience alternative.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test equipment, road test vehicles, and document findings in Repair Orders using iOS app.
