Job summary

Doyon Technical Services, LLC (DMS), a subsidiary of the Doyon Government Group, is seeking a Mechanical Quality Control Specialist. The role ensures all mechanical systems and testing meet federal contract specifications and engineering drawings.

The specialist will be on site to monitor construction activities, review drawings and submittals, and coordinate with the QC Manager and subcontractors to enforce compliance and document inspections and closeout procedures.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer with a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and a minimum of two years of experience.
• Or a minimum of five years of experience supervising mechanical features of work in the field for a construction company.
• Ability to be physically present on the project site during mechanical features of work.

Responsibilities

• Be physically present on the project site during mechanical features of work as required.
• Monitor mechanical construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Observe installation, workmanship, and materials and report deficiencies to the Quality Control Manager and project team.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and RFIs to support field QC activities.
• Coordinate with the QC Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors on mechanical features of work.
• Support inspections, testing, and verification activities for mechanical construction.
• Document field observations for QC records and reports.
• Participate in inspections for mechanical features of work and assist with punch lists and closeout.
