Job summary

Doyon Technical Services, LLC (DMS), a subsidiary of Doyon Government Group, seeks a Mechanical Quality Control Specialist for a 5-month federal construction project at Hill AFB, Utah. The role is site-based, requiring close attention to drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure compliance and quality across mechanical work.

The candidate will monitor field activities, coordinate with the QC Manager and subcontractors, and support inspections, testing, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer with PE registration is required
• Minimum five years supervising mechanical features of work in the field for a construction company
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and related technical requirements
• Familiarity with project documentation systems and standard Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Be physically present on the project site during mechanical features of work as required
• Monitor mechanical construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and requirements
• Observe installation, workmanship, and materials and communicate deficiencies to the QC Manager
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
• Coordinate with QC Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors on mechanical features
• Support inspections, testing, and verification activities
• Document field observations for QC records and reports
• Participate in preparatory and follow-up inspections for mechanical work
• Verify deficiencies are communicated for correction
• Assist with punch list, pre-final, final inspections, commissioning and closeout
• Attend project and coordination meetings
• Follow safety, environmental, and site requirements
• Perform other QC duties as assigned
