Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for our multifamily communities. This on-site role supports preparing vacant units, completing make-ready tasks, and ensuring a clean, safe living environment for residents under the supervision of the Lead Maintenance Technician.

You will assist with inspections, basic repairs, and coordination with property teams. A proactive, safety‑minded approach and ability to work 40 hours/week with occasional weekend

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, the weekly schedule may vary as business needs require.
• Scheduled on‑call work may be necessary.
• Must wear a back‑support belt and gloves as dictated by specific tasks to ensure safety.
• Required to wear appropriate footwear, such as non‑flat‑bottom shoes; flat‑bottom sneakers are not permitted

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and deliver notices to residents as needed.
• Inspect vacated apartments and complete detailed checklists to assess make‑ready needs; communicate required services to the Senior Maintenance Technician and Property Manager.
• Replace or repair lights, locks, faucets, appliances, doors, blinds, fans, windows, and shelving; patch and paint walls; change A/C filters.
• Assist with appliance repairs, replacements, and transfers to or from units.
• Transport paint and equipment from storage areas and assist with painting and minor exterior maintenance.
