Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to live on-site in a company-provided apartment and be available for after-hours emergencies. The role includes responding to work orders, maintaining the apartment community, and performing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.

Starting at $22.68 per hour or higher based on experience, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in multi-family property maintenance preferred.
• EPA certification required or obtained within 120 days of start date.
• HVAC experience preferred; CPO and pool maintenance skills are a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall upkeep of the apartment community and daily operations.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders per quality standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink, faucet, and disposal installations.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, water heaters, boilers and appliance repairs.
• Carry out electrical, carpentry, tile, and safety-related tasks as needed.
• Monitor inventory and stock of commonly used parts.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.
