Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons seeks a Standby Maintenance Technician to join the on-site team. The role requires being available for after-hours emergency calls and residing in a company-provided apartment, with no commute costs.

Responsibilities include comprehensive apartment maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry tasks, and responding to work orders as assigned. EPA certification is required, with company-paid training to obtain it if needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required (within 120 days of start date via company paid training).
• HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• CPO certification and pool chemistry/maintenance skills preferred.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Previous multi-family property maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall upkeep of the apartment community and respond to work orders.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders per company standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks: piping, shutoffs, sink/faucet installations, disposals.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, boiler, water heater issues; diagnose appliance problems.
• Carpentry tasks: doors, trim, drywall, caulking; tile and tub work.
• Electrical repairs: switches, outlets, fixtures; monitor inventory.
