Edward Rose & Sons seeks a Standby Maintenance Technician to join the Glen Oaks Apartments on-site team. This role requires living in a company-provided apartment and being available for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.

You will handle a wide range of maintenance tasks across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and more to ensure resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include prioritizing work orders, maintaining safety standards, and managing common-area upkeep while

Competenze

• EPA certification required; obtain within 120 days of start via company-paid training.
• HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• CPO certification and pool maintenance skills preferred.
• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during snow season.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software and apps.

Mansioni

• Responsible for the overall maintenance of an apartment community, including day-to-day operations.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders according to company standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks including pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink replacements, faucet installations, garbage disposal installations, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose air conditioner, furnace, hot water heater and boiler issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose appliance repairs.
• Deliver carpentry work including replacing doors, jambs, drywall, trim, caulking, and tile work.
• Perform electrical repairs including switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Repair ceramic tile and tub surrounds.
• Monitor inventory of commonly used parts to ensure adequate stock.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
