Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons invites a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at The Timbers Apartments in Evansville. This full-time, on-site role requires living in a company apartment and being available for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks, respond to work orders, and maintain high-quality conditions for residents while adhering to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is required (If not held, must obtain within 120 days via company-paid training).
• HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• Previous multi-family property maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the apartment community and day-to-day operations.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders per quality standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks including pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink replacements, faucet installations, and disposal installations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose air conditioning, furnace, water heater, and boiler issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose appliance repairs.
• Deliver carpentry work: doors, jambs, drywall, trim, caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform electrical repairs including switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Repair tile and tub surrounds; monitor stock of common parts.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
