Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance across buildings, grounds, and amenities.

The role covers make-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory control, and documentation to ensure accurate service records, with some travel to support other properties as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling as required for Certified Service Technicians.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications as required for maintenance staff.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical work to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and code requirements.
• Execute the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and validating completed work.
• Access and obtain materials from maintenance, track usage, return unused items, and notify supervisor when re-orders are needed.
• Document work accurately to ensure service requests are tracked, and assist in general grounds/cleaning tasks as needed.
