Job summary

Greystar in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the property's buildings, grounds, and amenities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality in line with company standards. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and documentation, with on-call rotation and potential travel to other properties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• Incumbents must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet policy, safety, and code standards.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections and creating punch lists.
• Tracks inventory and coordinates materials, returning unused items to the proper location.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing when possible.
