Job summary

Extell Development Company is seeking a Building Operations Manager for a Brooklyn, NY property. The role requires on-site residency and 24/7 availability for emergencies, overseeing repairs, maintenance, safety, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating with retail, managing vendor compliance, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to policies and safety standards across luxury residential environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a technical background.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Luxury residential or hotel background.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters daily.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between residents and Extell Management Services Inc.
• Oversee daily operations including repairs, maintenance, safety and security.
• Coordinate with building retail regarding shared systems and vendor compliance.
• Perform regular walkthroughs, manage amenities, and oversee move-ins/move-outs.
• Supervise and direct building staff, scheduling, payroll, and HR tasks.
• Assist management in drafting and monitoring the annual building budget.
• Live on-site and be available 24×7 for emergencies.
