Job summary

Scientific Games, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to service lottery retail locations. Responsibilities include installation, relocation, training, and preventative maintenance of hardware and POS equipment, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background check, drug test, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel overnight if required.
  • Capacity to operate a non‑CDL delivery truck.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer satisfaction and service skills.
  • Quick response to customer and leadership requests and feedback.
  • Self‑starter with strong motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management for effective multitasking.
  • Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills to determine cost‑effective repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift, install, and move large self‑service equipment (35 lbs or more) and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional ladder climbing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site servicing, repair, installation, and relocation of equipment.
  • Provide training and preventative maintenance to customers.
  • Complete assigned service calls at lottery retailer locations, including scheduled installs, removals, and preventative maintenance, as well as unscheduled service calls.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience using strong customer‑service and technical skills.
  • Communicate the value of services and match products to customer needs.
  • Execute extensive field repair functions, including install/removal of terminals and communications equipment.
  • Manage vehicle operations as outlined by company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Data Center to ensure timely delivery to retail locations and to address location‑specific issues.
  • Record and log service call information, report communication problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Follow up on customer issues requiring additional support.
  • Troubleshoot all forms of communications within a retail location.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships.
  • Resolve customer challenges on the first call and take ownership of issues.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues over the telephone when necessary.
  • Train new and existing customers on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Assist in training new and existing team members as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
