Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Learning Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy and everyday routines on campus. You will diagnose gaps, design short sequences, and ensure students reach daily learning goals.

You'll spend most of your day guiding 4-9 year-olds through structured sessions, with a focus on phonics, decoding, and reading progress. This is a full-time, on-site role with relocation support and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9, in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or a master’s in reading or literacy.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coach two to four students with short diagnostic sequences and check transfer of learning.
• Lead morning launch, workshops, and campus routines to keep students engaged.
• Drive students to weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan for frustrated learners.
