Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Texas. The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and resident satisfaction.

You will lead maintenance staff, manage service requests, and uphold property standards to protect value and ensure a quality living environment. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance teams, training staff, coordinating preventive maintenance, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or a related field.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage staff and daily operations.
• Strong understanding of state lease forms, Fair Housing laws, and the Property Code.
• Proficient in property management software (OneSite/Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• CPO & HVAC certifications required.
• 40 hours per week, including weekends, with rotating on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: manage maintenance inventory, tools, and hazard mitigation across the property.
• Leadership & Training: mentor staff, conduct safety meetings, ensure compliance with hazards standards.
• Maintenance Coordination: schedule work orders, on-call rotations, and coordinate with vendors.
• Resident Relations: deliver strong customer service and respond to resident concerns and moves.
• Compliance & Reporting: maintain records, reports, and ensure licensing/safety compliance.
